1. History of European integration and the creation of the European Union (EU) 2. Institutional structure of the EU 3. EU legal system (sources, creation and application of European law) 4. EU budget, administration and language regime 5. The EU internal market and the free movement of goods and services 6. Schengen area and free movement of persons 7. Selected EU policies

Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to introduce students to selected aspects in the field of European integration in the French language. Emphasis will be placed on their acquaintance with key concepts and basic legal institutes of European law.
At the end of the course, students will demonstrate a solid understanding of the institutional and legal frame of the European Union and the ability to communicate about it in both spoken and written forms.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Written examination
Understanding of the subject. Active partipation (presentations). Written test for 66 % (max. 2 attempts).
