Course content
Alberto Giacometti and Postwar Figurative Sculpture 2. Pop art and Minimalism 3. Socialist Realism in Czechoslovakia 4. Late Modernism in Central Europe 5. Sculpture in an expanded field - Installation, Site-specific Art, Land Art 6. Conceptualism and dematerialization of the artwork 7. Louise Bourgeois, Eva Hesse, Mária Bartuszová, Alina Szapocznikow, Rachel Whiteread

Learning outcomes
The course will introduce the history of sculpture in the second half of the 20th century. The focus will be on general issues, specific artistic movements, and key figures in European and North American sculpture.
Students gain an orientation to the topic and an exploration of its aspects.
