Learning outcomes
The course acquaints students with an overview of art history from the end of the Middle Ages to the beginning of the 20th century. Emphasis is placed on the history of Renaissance, Mannerist and Baroque art in Italy and its influence on art in the rest of Europe. Art of the 19th century will not be neglected. The prerequisites for the emergence of modern art will be discussed in detail. The development of art in the Czech lands will be discussed in a pan-European context.
Attendance at lectures, study of literature.
