Course content
14 weeks 1-3 basic terminology, 4-6 textual structure 7-8 textual analysis, boundaries 9-12 text analysis, how to read the text, its evaluation 13-14 text forms, how to write a thesis, creative papers by students

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
The seminar pays attention to main criteria of written text interpretation and their boundaries. After the theoretical part, students apply the acquired knowledge to their own analysis of a chosen text.
Practical knowledge of English written text interpretation.
Prerequisites
Intermediate - Upper-Intermediate level

Assessment methods and criteria
Essay, Student performance assessment

All examinations and consultations are held in English. Active participation, passing the final interpretation essay
