Course content
Week 1-2: ice-breakers and warm-ups, getting to know each other activities, selecting topics of interest Week 3-5: drama activities (role-plays, sketches, drama games) Week 6-10: student-led presentations on topics of their choice (including the use of various resources such as videos, texts, power points, handouts etc.) Week 11-12: advantages of incorporating creative writing into foreign language teaching, techniques of creative writing, poetry writing (e.g. acrostics, haiku, limericks) Week 13: summary of the course, final evaluation

Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Demonstration, Activating (simulations, games, drama), Work with multi-media resources (texts, internet, IT technologies)
Learning outcomes
The course will focus on developing the productive skills, i.e. speaking and writing in English. The participants will be involved in various communicative activities aimed at both fluency and accuracy, namely discussions, oral presentations as well as some drama techniques such as role-play and drama games, which are successfully used in foreign language teaching. Writing will be practised through creative writing activities. Concrete topics will be discussed and selected on the basis of the participants' interest, needs and level. The topics will also reflect the expected multicultural make-up of the group.
Participants will develop their productive skills in English towards the B2/C1 levels.
Prerequisites
The minimum expected entry level for the course is B1 according to the CEFR.
