Course content
|
There will be introduced 5 major topics (what is culture, stereotypes, values, status and hierarchy, communication styles) designed for discussion and projects prepared in pairs (Czech+international students). The aim of the subject is to strengthen presentation and communication skills in English, teamwork and critical thinking.

Learning outcomes
|
The seminar is designed for international students of short-term exchange study programmes and USB students of full-time study. It offers the opportunity of gaining communication, social and language skills in English. It supports the perception of cultural differencies, tolerance of diverse customs, motivation for studying abroad, critical thinking and creativity.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Seminar work, Self-reflection, Interim evaluation
To submit all tasks given during the course, active participation at seminars. Presentation of team projects and presentation of final individual project.
