Course content
Lectures: 1. Animal husbandry in school practice. Breeding materials and equipments. Hygiene and safety of breeding. 2. Legislation and animals protection. The first aid when animal attack, contact with animals. 3. Cat breeding. 4. Dog breeding. 5. Guinea-pig breeding. Hamster breeding. 6. Exotic birds breeding - equipments, selected animals. 7. Aquaria - equipments, selected animals. 8. Terrariums - equipments, selected animals. Insectary - equipments, selected animals. 9. Breeding less common pets. 10. -14. Farming breeding. Traditional farms versus alternative farms. Basics of beef-raising, sheep, goats, chickens and pigs breeding. The aim of the exercise is to gain experience in the breeding of selected domestic animals and skills for its didactic use in school practice and extracurricular education. Breeding of small mammals, exotic birds, aquaristics, terrariums. Farm animals - overview of breeds, importance. Large livestock farms - operation and equipment. Work safety in breeding.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to bring information about the specificity and conditions of breeding individual, in our country most often breeding, domestic and farm animals and about the possibilities of didactic use of breeding individual animals.
Practical ability to breed domestic animals and animal husbandry in school practice.

Practical skills of breeding pets in school and out-of-school education. Knowledge of animal subbreed.
