Course content
1. Physiographical mineralogy 2. Structural meneralogy 3. Chemical properties of the menerals 4. Physical properties of the minerals 5.-6. Strunz´s mineralogical system 7. Deposits of the minerals 8. Magma, product differentiation of the magma 9. Magmatic rocks 10.-11. Sedimentary rocks 12. Metamorphous rocks

Learning outcomes
1. Building the knowledge of the basic concepts of mineralogy, structural crystallography, systematic mineralogy, studying physical and chemical features of the minerals, 2. Studying the processes and patterns of the formation rocks in the Earth's crust, genetic structure of the magmatic rocks, sedimentary rocks and metamorphous rocks. 3. Applied identification of the minerals and rocks.
Student will learn the basics of mineralogy and petrology and can use this knowledge in other fields of geosciences learned in other courses.

Managing of the theoretical and practical knowledge of the mineralogy and petrology.
