Cell and life manifestations at the cellular level, cell nucleus, DNA, genetics. Main metabolic processes - photosynthesis, respiration, nutrient processing. Reproduction of plants and animals. Basic orientation in the system of organisms. Ecology and nature protection, including an overview of selected habitats of the Czech Republic with regional phenomena. The graduate will be able to transform the acquired knowledge into a didactic system at the elementary school level and use it in the didactic design of the curriculum, regardless of its division into subjects. At the same time, competencies are acquired for teaching the cross-sectional topic of Environmental Education.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined exam

Knowledge of basic areas of biology and ecology of organisms (lectured topics and self-study of the system of organisms). Within the exam, the knowledge bases from the field of inanimate nature are verified in context, not in the form of separate test questions (see the subject Man and his world 1 - inanimate nature and methodology of scientific experiments).
