Course content
Medicinal and toxic plants - effects, drugs, allergy, cultivation. Crop-plants and viands production. Cultivation areas in the Czech Republic. Classification of crop-plants. Cultivation of fruit plants, harvest, storage and fruit treatment. Weeds. Plant diseases and pests. Plant protection. Alternative methods of cultivation, wildlife gardens. Aims, curriculum and methods of Plant Cultivation at primary school. Basics experiments and observation - design and evaluation. Demonstration of plant living manifestation and plant physiology. Inqiury based education. Integration of Plant Cultivation into the educational area. Excursions. Preparation of instruction. Collections of plants, grains and seed corns. Model plants.

Skills for resource and organization of instruction of Plant Cultivation at primary school. Plant Cultivation is also understood as a scientific integration application of knowledge from the educational area Humans and their World and Humans and the World of Work with an impact on other areas, especially the cross-sectional topic Environmental education.
