Tourism geography - basic terms, definitions and role in our society 12. Tourism geography - basic theoretical concepts 13. Tourism geography - current trends in world tourism 14. Learning outcomes
The course is focused on basic human-geographical disciplines (transport geography, geography of services and tourism geography). The students will understand the basic theoretical concepts of these sub-disciplines, their methodologies, and applications. Basic issues of the course: theory and methodology of transport geography, transport modes, development of transport systems, transport networks and their spatial analysis etc., theory and methodology of geography of services, basic approaches to study services, Central place theory, development and current problems of services in global scale. Tourism geography - types of tourism activities, tourism and regional development.
Basic knowledge about transport geography, geography of services, tourism geography. Ability to apply the theoretical knowledges in practice.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

Working up of seminar projects aimed on transport geography, tourism geography and geography of services.
