1. Basic musical terms, writing of music 2. Major scales 3. Minor scales (natural) 4. Minor scales (harmonic, melodic) 5. Chromatic scale, basics of modality 6.-7. Intervals 8.-9. Triads and their inversions 10.-11. Seventh chords and their inversion 12.-13. Transposition, basics of harmonization

Learning outcomes
This module provides students with the elementary knowledge of the tonal system of Europian music. A special emphasis is put on scales, intervals and chords training. The students will gain the capability of orientation in tonal music and an understanding of the relationships in the tonal system.
Orientation in tonal system of music based on knowledge of scale, intervals, chords and basic functional relations.

Mastering of theoretical basics of music: scales, intervals, chords including functional relations of cadence I-IV-V.
