Course content
1. Introduction. Possible risks while using ICT 2. Malware 3. Loss of data 4. Computer passwords, identity thefts 5. Spam 6. Hoax, phishing 7. The legality of activities on the Internet - data downloading and uploading 8. Safe use of online services - e-shops, dating sites 9. Privacy protection - social networks 10. Specific risks while using mobile devices 11. Creation of final projects 12. - 13. Presentation of final projects

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with multi-media resources (texts, internet, IT technologies), Project-based learning, Group work
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to make students familiar with e-safety risks which occur while using ICT. Moreover, the students will understand the ways how to protect against these risks. The course is focused not only on expert knowledge and skills of the participants but on the methods how to educate about these topics. The course is taught in English.
Passing the course, the student will be familiar with the risks which occur while using ICT and he / she will be able to make proper preventive measures. In the case of being exposed to the threat, he /she will be able to recognize the threat and to avoid the danger. The student will be able to educate other people, particularly his / her potential pupils, about the risks.
Prerequisites
The knowledge of English language at level B1; User computer skills.

Assessment methods and criteria
Seminar work, Interim evaluation

Active participation in seminars (at least 80%); Creation of the final project.
