The discipline Didactics of German 3 is a continuation of Introduction to Professional Practice III and IV and Didactics of German 1 and 2. The focus of this semester is on writing in the teaching of German, working with error, examining and testing students and evaluating their performance. The aim of the course is to teach students to select appropriate stimuli for practicing pupils' written expression, to introduce them to the procedural component of writing, and to provide insight into the issues of error, oral and written testing, and assessment of pupils' performance. The aim of the course is to develop didactic competence in testing and the ability to apply it to educational practice.
Upon completion of this course, male and female students are able to develop their written expression. They can recognize, identify and correct different types of errors. They are able to create their own written tests, rehearse, correct written work and evaluate student performance.
