Course content

Course contents 1. Main speech acts in class (calling pupils, using modal particles, asking questions, school terminology). 2. Classroom routines (greetings, getting to know each other, subjects in the timetable, inscribing in the class book, holidays, wishes, illnesses, beginning / end of work in class) 3. Language tools to practise pronunciation, spelling, vocabulary, grammar, reading / listening comprehension; linguistic and argumentative tools in discussion; homework; writing tests, testing 4th - 6th Lesson: Modern life (mobile phones, what happiness means, social changes in the last decades, modal verbs in subjective utterances, word formation: prefixes miss-, zer-, ent- and de-) 7th - 10th Lesson: Tourism (people in hotels, planning a trip, working with a monolingual dictionary, supporting regional tourism, multipartite conjunctions, function verb structures) 11th - 14th Lesson: Understanding and knowledge (new scientific knowledge, fable about crow and fox, modal verbs and other alternatives, declension of adjectives).

Objectives The subject "Language of the Teacher 1" is divided into two parts. The aim of the first part is to give the students a structured and systematic overview of certain language resources used by teachers in German lessons. In the seminar, the speech acts listed below are practised so that the students are well prepared to teach German in primary schools. The aim of the second part is to develop communication skills and language resources at C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The focus is on spoken language, but written language is also cultivated during the seminar. Vocabulary on the topics mentioned below will be developed. In addition, the ability to react logically and promptly to everyday situations is practised. Students are also constantly introduced to problematic grammatical or spelling phenomena and are guided to their correct use not only in discussions or interviews, but also in writing. An essential component is also the comprehension of written text or listening exercises. The input knowledge is according to CEFR level B2 for languages in all language skills (productive and receptive) and language means. The seminars are held in German.
Learning achievements Upon completion of the seminar, students will be able to teach German in primary schools in German. Furthermore, they will be able to carry out written and oral communication on the topics covered at B2 + level with a rich vocabulary and good grammar skills.

Written test of language knowledge and language resources from the syllabus studied; continuous preparation for lessons in the form of self-study according to the teacher's assignment; active participation in the seminar; The knowledge review is conducted in German language.
