Learning outcomes
The course "Language of the Teacher 2" is a continuation of the course "Language of the Teacher 1" and is divided into two parts. The aim of the first part is to provide students with a structured and systematic overview of the specific linguistic resources used by teachers in teaching German. The following speech acts will be practically practiced in the seminar so that students are well prepared to lead primary school classes in German. The aim of the second part is to develop communicative skills and language resources at C1 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The emphasis is on the spoken language, but the written language will also be cultivated during the seminar. Vocabulary on the topics covered is developed. The ability to react logically and promptly to everyday situations is also practised. Students are also continuously introduced to problematic grammatical or spelling phenomena and are encouraged to use them correctly not only in discussions or conversations, but also in writing. Practice in reading comprehension or listening exercises is also an integral part of the course. The entry proficiency level is B2+ according to the SERR for languages in all speech skills (productive and receptive) and language resources. The seminars are conducted in German.
