Learning outcomes
|
The course aims to familiarize students with intercultural and transcultural approaches to teaching Czech cultural and social realities to pupils with a different mother tongue. It focuses on key aspects of Czech society, culture, and everyday life, as well as on methods of their didactic presentation. Students will deepen their understanding of Czech realities and learn to apply the acquired knowledge in teaching pupils with a migrant background.
The student understands the principles of intercultural and transcultural approaches to teaching history to non-native speakers. The student has sufficient knowledge of Czech history to present key historical events to pupils with a migrant background in a modern and engaging way. Assessment methods and criteria

Presentation on an assigned topic (both oral and written), ongoing preparation for classes according to the lecturer's instructions, independent study of academic literature and its critical reflection, a seminar paper, and an oral examination.
