Objectives The aim of the course "Phonetics II" is a practical training in the correct pronunciation of single sounds and frequent combinations of consonants. The emphasis is also on practicing the correct word and sentence accent. The students work with texts in the so-called "deutsche Schrift". Students practice the international phonetic transcription IPA / API. An important aspect of the course is also a contrastive comparison of the phonetic system of German and Czech. The seminars are held in German.
Learning achievements Upon completion of the course, students will be able to pronounce the correct German sounds in spoken language. They will be able to phonetically transcribe words according to the international phonetic transcription IPA / API. They will learn the so-called "deutsche Schrift" and will be able to read the texts. Students will be able to compare the German and Czech phonetic system. |

Zápočet consists of a written part (spelling check) and an oral part (reading texts and prepared spoken utterance with correct pronunciation). The exam is designed to test the mastery of the theoretical foundations of the phonetic system of the German language, both segmental and suprasegmental elements. Continuous preparation for the lessons in the form of self-study according to the teacher's assignment and active participation in the seminar are required. The prerequisite for passing the exam is the successful completion of the zápočet in the subjects Phonetics I and Phonetics II. The knowledge review is conducted in German language. |
