The aim of the course is to summarize the existing knowledge about the morphosyntax of contemporary German and to focus on topics that are problematic for Czech speakers who learn German for various reasons. The course focuses on the identification of these critical topics, their contrastive analysis and discussion of how these topics can be taught in German as a foreign language classes. Students will actively work with these topics, reflect on them and present their results (orally and in writing). The seminars will be held in German.
Upon completion of the course, students will have a sufficient overview of the morphosyntax of contemporary German and morphosyntactic topics that are difficult for Czech speakers learning German. Based on their own reflection and research on a problematic topic, students will learn to look at the topic in a contrasting way (Czech - German) and to perceive and propose ways realistically how these topics can be included in German as a foreign language teaching.
