Course content
1.-4. Lesson 1: Friends (friends and acquaintances, social networks, interactive radio, vocabulary related to age, friendship and love, presentations, double conjunctions, the middle of a sentence, word formation: suffixes for nouns) 5. - 8. Lesson 2: In the company (daily routine, office activities, break at work, reasons for termination of employment, formal telephone calls, state passive, "von" or "durch" in passive sentences, word formation: prefixes for nouns Partizip I and II as adjectives) 9. - 13. Lesson 3: Media (media use, films and film genres, important telephone calls, news sources, word formation: suffixes for adjectives, sentences with "dass", sentences with "wenn") 14. test

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to develop communication skills in German at level B1 + according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The focus is on the spoken language, but the written language will also be cultivated during the seminar. To the topics of the modern textbook PERLMANN-BALME, Michaela, Susanne SCHWALB and Magdalena MATUSSEK: Sicher! aktuell. German as a foreign language. Level B2.1 Ismaning: Hueber Verlag, 2019, vocabulary is developed and the ability to react logically and quickly to everyday situations is practiced. Students are also constantly confronted with problematic grammatical or spelling phenomena and are guided not only in discussions or interviews, but also in writing to use them correctly. Understanding written text or listening exercises is also an essential component. As part of their homework, students read two books, Der Dativ ist dem Genitiv sein Tod (Bastian Sick) and Eine deutsche Leidenschaft namens Nudelsalat und andere seltsame Geschichten (Rafik Schami). The required knowledge corresponds to CEFR level B1+ in all language skills (productive and receptive) and language resources. The seminars are held in German.
Students are able to communicate orally and in writing on the topics covered according to the CEFR with a rich vocabulary and a good knowledge of grammar.

Assessment methods and criteria
Analysis of student's language skills, Test

Written test of language skills and language resources from the examined curriculum; examination in the form of a discussion or an interview (dialogue) and a monologue on the field of the mentioned topics; the key to achieving the level required by the CEFR for languages is continuous preparation for teaching in the form of self-study according to the teacher's task; active participation in the seminar, reading the prescribed books. If the student reaches the B2 level according to the CEFR in the entrance test for the subject Jazyková cvičení 1 , he/she does not have to participate in direct teaching. He/she can meet the prescribed requirements of the discipline at a distance. The knowledge review is conducted in German language.
