Course content
1. - 3. Definition of the subject of German-language didactics, definition of the basic terms (intercultural communication competence, communication skills, multilingualism, RVP ZV, SERR), auxiliary sciences of foreign-language didactics 4. Introduction to basic didactic literature and current textbook files 5. - 6. Aims and curricula in foreign language teaching, language resources and language skills as well as their position in German teaching 7. - 9. Framework Programme for German and creation of ŠVP, Standards for German teaching, Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, Portfolio. Formulation of teaching goals, key competencies and cross-cutting issues 10. Lesson planning, lesson preparation and its implementation, forms of organization of lessons, individualization and differentiation of lessons 11.- 12. Observation of the lessons as a starting point for understanding the process of planning one's own lessons, reflection on the lessons 13. European and Czech language policy 14. Final evaluation of the lessons

Learning outcomes
The discipline Introduction to Didactics 1 offers an introduction to the didactics of German as a foreign language as an independent scientific discipline. Students learn the basic conceptual tools; based on their work with RVP ZV, they learn to formulate teaching goals, key competencies and cross-sectional topics of the German language in the second stage of primary school. They will be familiarized with current textbook files in German language. Based on their own observation of the lessons, they learn to make preparations for the lessons. Lectures and seminars are held in German.
By completing the course, students gain a first deeper insight into the didactics of foreign languages as an independent scientific discipline. They will understand the essence of didactics, learn to formulate the objectives of teaching in connection with important curriculum documents, they will be familiarized with basic curriculum documents and with currently used textbook files in German. At the end of the semester, they can prepare themselves for the lessons.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student performance assessment, Interview, Seminar work, Self-reflection, Interim evaluation

Active participation in seminars, continuous elaboration of the assigned tasks, elaboration of a seminar paper, preparation of the lessons. The knowledge review is conducted in German language.
