Course content
1. Reflection of own experience with education related to death, sexuality, differences. 2. Work with one's own attitudes to challenging topics. 3. Education related to death - Development of children's understanding of death. 4. Education related to death - Specifics of children's mourning. 5. Work with the topic of death in kindergarten - the level of intervention. 6. Work with the topic of death in kindergarten - preventive level. 7. Education related to sexuality - issues of differences between men and women. 8. Sexuality education - questions about conception and birth. 9. Education related to sexuality - relationships and cultivation of sexual behavior. 10. Education related to sexuality - intimacy, prevention of abuse. 11. Education for tolerance - work with topics of cultural differences, values, religions. 12. Education for tolerance - work with topics of disabilities. 13. Inspiration - books, stories, games that are a means of sharing challenging topics.

Learning outcomes
The course introduces some challenging topics that preschool educators work with children meets. These are mainly issues related to mortality, sexuality and difference (cultural, disability, etc.) seminars is to provide students with the opportunity to work with their attitudes to these issues, to equip them understanding the developmental specifics of preschool children and offer them recommendations on how to deal with these topics work at the level of prevention and intervention.
The student will be introduced to the possibilities of intervention in situations requiring his/her intervention. He/she will also be introduced to resources (books, films, etc.) that will help to non-violently and sensitively deflect discussion on a controversial topic. They will also know some organisations to which they can turn for help or inspiration.

Assessment methods and criteria
Interview, Self-reflection

Active participation in seminars, reflection on their attitudes and experiences related to these topics - Report or elaboration of a seminar paper.
