Guided practice in special schools - 5 schools each 5hrs. Guided practice in specialized institutions for people with disability (3 institutions) Reflection on practice Presentation of student´s individual work

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Monitoring, Demonstration, Activating (simulations, games, drama)

Learning outcomes
|
The goal of this course is to guide students through different special schools (e.g. school for students with hearing impairment, school for students with intellectual disability etc.) and specialized institutions to deepen the theoretical knowledge about and practical skills in the education of students with different types of disability.
Students are able to describe the specifics of education of students with different types of disabilities, name services which are provided by specialized institutions, define the content of consulting services for people with disability.

Prerequisites
|
Fluent oral and written communication skills in English Basic knowledge of special needs education, education and psychology.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance assessment, Seminar work, Interim evaluation
Individual preparation from the recommended sources, 100% participation in practice (discussion etc.), preparation of an acceptable seminar work and presentation.
