Learning outcomes
The goal of the course is to provide students with a psychological perspective on the increasingly topical topic of digital gaming and computer addictions. Nowadays, gaming is not only a leisure activity, but also a lifestyle style and livelihood. Students of this course will be familiar with the psychological aspects of gaming and also the risks of (not only) gaming addictions.
The student will get a basic overview of how playing video games affects the human psyche. They will learn how games can affect our brain in both positive and negative ways. At the same time, he will gain an overview of the topics of Internet addiction and their diagnosis.
