Course content
1. Ways of forming nouns. Indeclinable nouns. Categories of animate vs. inanimate nouns. 2. Differences in gender and number of nouns between Russian and Czech. Gender inflection. 3. Adjectives. Grammatical categories of adjectives. Qualitative and relational adjectives. 4. Hard adjectives and their declension. 5. Soft adjectives and their declension. 6. Nominal forms of adjectives. 7. Comparative and superlative forms of adjectives and adverbs. 8. Numbers - primarily cardinal and ordinal numbers. 9. Pronouns - individual groups of pronouns and their declension. Personal ande possessive pronouns. 10. Demonstrative, interrogative and relative pronouns. 11. Defining and indefinite pronouns. 12. Negative pronouns. 13. Adverbs. Prepositions. 14. Conjunctions. Summary, repetition.

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Activating (simulations, games, drama)
Learning outcomes
Mastering the theoretical underpinnings of Russian morphology in the field of verbs and nouns and mastering their practical application - all in confrontation with Czech. Learning of Russian terminology from the field of morphological system.
Orientation in the topics discussed, practical knowledge of the morphological system of Russian in the field of nouns and verbs, the acquisition of practical skills.
Prerequisites
The student must have a basic knowledge of Russian grammar in the range of at least A2 - according to the entrance examination.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination

Regular attendance in lectures and seminars, active participation in seminars, successfully written sub-tests during semester.
