Course content
Content of lectures: 1. The teaching profession, the teacher's competence. 2. Legislative definition of the teaching profession, the school labour code, the rights and obligations of the teacher in relation to the employer, parents (legal representatives of the pupil) and pupils (responsibility for the pupil in the teaching process, children's rights). 3. The teacher and the school counselling centre - consultation and participation in the solution and how to communicate the educational problems of pupils with their colleagues at school (lecture in tandem with a partner from the faculty school). 4. The teacher and parents - forms of cooperation with parents, how to communicate with parents the problems of the educational needs of their children. 5. The teacher and the quality of their work - who and how helps the teacher and guides him to improve his work, communication with the school management, supervision and mentoring, introducing the teacher, the role of the school inspectorate. 6. - 9. Goals and content of education in the Czech Republic, trends and changes, comparison with abroad. 10.-13. The pedagogy of teaching. Content of tutorials/seminar: The seminars will follow up on the practical aspects of the above-mentioned lecture topics. Educational diagnostics topics will focus on general pedagogical and didactic aspects of diagnostics (diagnostics of learning outcomes, diagnostics of learning processes, etc.).

Learning outcomes
The aim of the lectures is to deepen students' ability to perceive the professional, personal and social aspects of the role of a teacher in a contemporary school, in relation to the gradual discovery of the laws of the educational process. The subject will be divided into three areas, the first will follow the pedeutological aspects, educational aspects of the teacher's work and his communication with various partners. The second area will present new trends in education, changes in the goals and content of education in the Czech Republic and in inspiring foreign educational systems. The third area will focus on the analysis and evaluation of the pedagogical aspects of the teacher's work (besides didactic aspects). In the seminars, the student gains insight into practical topics, based on the lectures and reflection on their pedagogical experience.
