Content of lectures: 1. Introduction: developmental biology - historical perspective, tools and models 2. Cell identity specification, maintenance and reprogramming 3. Molecular signalling in development - signal perception and transduction 4. Drosophila: Gene and pathway discovery and the genetic toolkit (Marek Jindra - BC AVČR - 9% per lecture) 5. Signalling in insect development: Drosophila and beyond (Marek Jindra - BC AVČR - 9% per lecture) 6. Cell signalling during early mammalian development I (Alex Bruce - PřF JČU - 9% per lecture) 7.
