Learning outcomes
Course objectives: The Immunology II course aims to expand students' understanding of the principles underlying immunological processes. In the introductory course, students became familiar with the cells and molecules of the immune system, the course of the immune response, the fundamentals of innate and adaptive immunity, and the major types of immune reactions. In this follow-up course, students will gain deeper insight into the cellular and molecular mechanisms of these responses, as well as the evolution and ontogeny of the immune system and the molecular basis of the enormous diversity of antibodies and T-cell receptors. Special attention is given to immunological memory, self-tolerance, and the principles of immune disorders. The course also covers anti-infectious immunity and barrier immunity.

Prerequisites
Prerequisites, preconditions: Prerequisite: Basic knowledge of immunology equivalent to that covered in the course Immunology I. KME/216

Assessment methods and criteria
unspecified
Requirements on student: Test must be successfully finnished at least at 50%
