Course content
Content of lectures: Students will process and present selected topics and current articles in biomedicine. Individual topics will be conceived: (i) from a scientific point of view, i.e. by processing scientific articles in the form of a `journal` club during the summer semester, and (ii) from a popular science perspective, i.e. by elaborating a seminar work on a broader biomedical topic and its short presentation in ppt (winter semester). Scientific articles for the `journal` club will be provided to students at the beginning of the summer semester. Topics for seminar works will be shared via MS Teams before the beginning of the winter semester.

Learning outcomes
The main mission of the course is to acquaint students with current topics and trends in biomedical research and development, mainly in the form of independent work on the topic and its presentation at the seminar. During the course, students will acquire skills in work with scientific literature (stylistic text processing, text formatting, work with references, etc.) and also presentation skills (work in ppt and lecture). Invited lectures from various experts working in biomedical research will also be included.
The student can present scientific articles in front of an audience and navigate through the scientific literature and the latest trends.
