Course content
|
Block 1 - AP Biology Curriculum Overview of the program, four Big Ideas, and eight content units. Block 2 - Science Practices and Laboratory Work Science Practices, data analysis, experimental design, statistics, and inquiry-based laboratory activities. Block 3 - AP Biology Exam Exam structure, multiple-choice and free-response questions, question types, and content weighting. Block 4 - Assessment in AP Biology Scoring rubrics, evaluation of student responses, analysis of sample questions, and conversion of results to the AP 1-5 score scale.

To obtain the course credit, students are required to actively participate in the teaching blocks, engage in discussions, and present assigned topics. Absence is permitted for a maximum of one third of the teaching blocks. The course credit also includes a written test, the content of which corresponds thematically to the scope of the AP Biology Exam. To successfully pass the test, students must achieve at least 50% of the total points.
