Course content
|
Content of lectures: This course covers a variety of academic topics and focuses on the improvement of students' reading, writing, listening and speaking skills as well as vocabulary building. We focus on target vocabulary from the assigned articles, which is later tested during the Bachelor state examination in English. Class activities include individual, pair and group work, reading, speaking and listening, presentations, debates and extended writing. All materials used in the course are available online through MOODLE.

Learning outcomes
|
Increasing language competencies and communication skills of students.
Students will read scientific, yet general genre, articles, will participate in oral exercises and tasked based exercises, and will write short paragraphs. Students will expand their general vocabulary with slight emphases on scientific literature.
