Course content
|
Course content: The course is focused on practicing language skills for the academic and working environment, with emphasis on spoken language. An important part of the course is the development of debate and argumentation skills, clear expression and responsiveness in dialogue. The course is suitable for students who are preparing for the MA oral exam and also for those aiming for general improvement in academic speaking. The course includes group and individual work. Students are required to reflect on each debate, both in class and in written form afterwards.

Student performance assessment
Assessment - Regular attendance - Preparation for and participation in a minimum number of debates (set by the instructor at the start of each semester) - End-of-term oral exam in the form of a pair debate
