1. Introduction to the course, computer literacy and digital competencies 2. Computer components, operating systems, and device management 3. Fundamentals of cybersecurity I: passwords, phishing, malware 4. Fundamentals of cybersecurity II: encryption, backup, cloud 5. MS Word ? structured document, styling, revision 6. MS Excel ? formulas, data analysis, charts 7. MS PowerPoint ? presentations and effective communication 8. MS Teams and Outlook ? effective communication 9. Office Copilot and AI tools in Word and Excel 10. Artificial intelligence in everyday practice 11. Bitmap vs. vector graphics 12. Text editors and scripting tools 13. Summary, revision, test preparation Assignments will be given continuously to practice the covered topics.

Learning outcomes
|
The course provides an introduction to practically oriented informatics and digital literacy. The aim is to develop basic skills for efficient, safe, and competent work with a computer and commonly used software. Emphasis is placed on orientation in operating systems, working with office tools, cybersecurity, and modern approaches to the use of artificial intelligence and graphic tools in everyday academic and professional practice. Upon completion of the course, the student: 1. Understands the basic principles of how computers and operating systems function. 2. Works effectively with office suite tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). 3. Applies principles of cybersecurity in everyday work with data. 4. Uses modern AI tools to support writing, organization, analysis, and presentation. 5. Is familiar with the differences between basic file formats (jpg, pdf, png, docx, ?). 6. Has knowledge of basic functions of word processing and spreadsheet software.
