1. Introduction to Active Element Management 2. Fundamentals of Active Element Security, Access Control and Logging. 3. Cisco IOS Fundamentals; Port Security, Telnet + SSH Security. 4. Switch Configuration and Administration: Switch Tables; 5. VLAN Administration and Security (Access+Trunk); 6. Redundant Protocols - Link Aggregation (Etherchannel) and STP, its Versions and Link Backup; 7. Port Mirroring (SPAN); Inter-VLAN Routing. 8. Data Logging and Traffic Classification. 9. Router Management; Basic Classification of Routing Protocols, Router Roles in Networks, Router Architectures; 10. Static Routing. Fundamentals of Dynamic Routing. Routing Table Management. 11. NA(P)T Address Translation and Packet Firewall (eACL). 12. Gateway Redundancy Protocols (VRRP) and Object Tracking. 13. Application of (IP) SLA in network issues to increase reliability and eliminate single point of failure.
