1. What is a diploma thesis? Choice of topic. 2. Sources of information. Determination of research goals, problems, hypotheses. 3. Methodology of science, scientific methods and work methodology. 4. Methodology of data collection. 5. Formal and content page of a scientific text. 6. Scientific ethics, citation standard and bibliographic records. 7. Methodical instructions for writing the final thesis at PřF JU. 8. Principles of correct presentation, preparation of presentation content, technical means for presentation. 9. Analysis of own assumptions for successful presentation. 10. Preparation of the presentation - analysis of basic questions before the presentation. 11. Verbal and nonverbal communication. Training skills to present. 12. Convincing behavior, how to arouse interest. Tremor and its successful management. 13. Content of the presentation. The art of answering questions.

Learning outcomes
|
The course leads students to a systematic approach to writing a diploma, bachelor's thesis, to a scientific approach, compliance with formal and citation requirements. The course also prepares students for basic presentation skills, such as the effective structure and content of the presentation, verbal and nonverbal communication, rhetoric, breaking nervousness.
The graduate is able to write a final thesis.
