Course content
|
Content of practicals: The course is designed for students of chemistry master studies. They give reports on the progress of their thesis. Invited lecturers introduce students into current topics of chemical research. Presentation of results at the Master's thesis (every student at least once in the WS or SS in the course UCH/115). MSc. students of chemistry study programmes enrol for the course UCH/115 in both the WS and SS in the 1st year, and the course UCH/118 in each subsequent semester of study.

|
Students´ reports on their theses, lectures on up-to-date chemical research.
Improvement of presentation skills. Improvement in discussions about research topic.

Prerequisites
|
Study of information sources for Master´s thesis.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Analysis of student's language skills, Analysis of student's work activities (technical works), Analysis of the qualification work
Students enrol this course once a year. To pass the course a student must present at least once during the semestr his/her work on Master´s thesis.
