Course content
National Geographic Life Intermediate, selected topics from units 7-12: Grammar: comparatives and superlatives used to, would and past simple modal verbs (present and past speculations) articles,determiners and possessives in noun phrases passives defining relative clauses second conditional:if + would third conditional:if + would have reported speech Vocabulary: features of homes in the city the natural world,history money, shopping medicine, injuries communications technology field trips Wordbuilding: verb adjective, noun adjective, compound adjectives, common prefixes and suffixes

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming), Work with text (with textbook, with book), Projection, Activating (simulations, games, drama)

Learning outcomes
Cultivation of intermediate and upper-intermediate general and professional English for the purposes of future employment.
Strengthening of knowledge on level B2 and unification of the knowledge. Teaching involves a wider vocabulary and skills necessary for the profession in the studied field and specialization.
Prerequisites
English language knowledge at the B2 level.

Analysis of student's language skills, Systematic student observation, Test

Free attendance Pass the final written test in the last week before the EP to 70 % (1 correction term) Prepare a ppt presentation on your selected topic (15 min) with a spoken commentary (do not read) and some hints for discussion (of interest to the topic, problem, question etc.) The topics shall be discussed with the teacher.
