Course content
The aim of the subject is to give basic information on biology, methods of conservation and breeding of crayfish and molluscs. Lectures will be focused to the following topics: Morphology and functional anatomy. Reproduction of crayfish and molluscs under natural and controlled conditions. Growth, feeding and activity. Methods of breeding. Practical demonstration of breeding. Methods of fishing and collection. Practical differentiation of native and non-native crayfish. Diseases.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to give basic information on biology, methods of conservation and breeding of crayfish and molluscs. Give information about different methods of crayfish and mollusc breeding and catching. Special attention give to practical recognition native and non-native species lives in Czech R.
The graduates will achieve the basic knowledge in the field of biology, protection and culture of crayfish and the most important native and non-native molluscs of the Czech Republic. They obtain practical abilities in determination of target crayfish and mollusc species. Students will be able to realize rescue transfers of endangered species or eradication of invasive once.
Prerequisites
The fundamental knowledge in the area of animal biology and conservation. Active interest for these issues.

Oral examination, Test, Seminar work

Credit test. Species determination. Seminar thesis. Oral exam.
