Course content
- Distinction of individual and social ethics, traditional areas and themes of social ethics, - Freedom, human rights, social rights (distinction, philosophy, codification), - Conceptions of equality and justice, social justice (context, connections and contemporary theories), - Welfare state, typology of the welfare state, political and economic aspects, critique and perspectives of the welfare state, - Actual ethical questions of social policy - family policy, agenda of feminism and gender equality, antidiscriminative legislation, - Civil society (relations of the state and the civil society, diverse conceptions of the civil society, structure of the civil society), - Theory and praxis of economics, economic theories and systems, ethical areas of economics, - Globalization - positive and negative aspects, ethical aspects of economic, political and cultural globalization, globalization and developing countries, global justice, migration, multiculturalism, - Poverty - reality in the developed and the developing countries, structural problems of developement, the developement studies, problem of outsourcing etc., questions of worldwide solidarity, - Individual-ethical and social-ethical aspects of the charity work at all its levels, relation of charity and individual man, charity and civic society, charity and the state, charity and the international organizations, - Social Doctrine of the Church and the charity, social policy based on the Christian concept of the human being. Principles of the Social Doctrine of the Church - the personalist principle, the principles of subsidiarity, solidarity, common good, their relation to the social work, - Social Doctrine of the Church and the value of human work, the social encyclical Laborem Exercens, economics and the problem of human work, the problem of unemployment,

Learning outcomes
The goal of this course is to understand social-ethical associations in the area of politics, social policy, economy, culture and charity. The general course name is "Non-negotiable values. The question of human formation between the individual and society".
The student reflects ethical questions and challenges in the area of society - in the area of human rights, social rights, interpersonal and social solidarity, political and economic structures - at the local level as well as the global one.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Student performance assessment, Analysis of student's language skills

Knowledge, reflection and application of the content of lectures, study texts for the lectures and another recommended texts of literature.
