Course content

Learning outcomes
To introduce students to the theological discourse with regard to the relationship of social work and humanities. Students will get an insight into theology, its subdisciplines, methodology, they should become familiar with the Bible and the content of the Christian faith, as well as understand the context of theology and social and charity work.
Describing and explaining different models of relationship between theology and social work.

Assessment methods and criteria
Colloquium

The course is completed with a credit which is awarded on the basis of at least 80 percent attendance at lectures and successful completion of the final colloquium. The central point of the colloquium will be a discussion of the student's prepared seminar paper. The students are supposed to demonstrate their understanding of the chosen topic, the argumentation in relevant professional literature and are able to discuss the topic based on thoughtful arguments. Self-study and active participation in teaching are also required for the credit. Before each lesson, students will study materials recommended by the teacher, formulate their observations, doudts and questions related to the topic. This will serve the teacher to determine the level of understanding of the problem, and as a basis for the following explanation.
