Learning outcomes
|
The aim of the course is to lead students to a deeper reflection on theories and methods of social work, which is necessary to support their own professional identity. The student is motivated and guided to self-study, and research foreign literature. In this way, the student will consolidate his/her knowledge and understanding of social work theories and methods and acquire their application, including the ability to reflect and argue the appropriateness of the application. The course should help to develop the professional identity of social workers.
Student will be able to: - know the theories and methods of social work - work with foreign literature - literature research - prepare a report and transfer theoretical concepts into practice - reflect on the experience gained in practice

Prerequisites
|
The course does not presuppose any initial knowledge beyond the requirements of the admission procedure, i.e. it expects a bachelor's degree programme meeting the Minimum Standard of ASVSP.

Assessment methods and criteria

Student performance assessment
- first class is online - study of basic literature, - study of study materials, - preparation and presentation of a paper, - preparation and presentation of the project, - working with foreign sources, - literature search - active participation in seminars/discussions - 2 absences allowed - active communication between the student and the teacher
