Learning outcomes
|
The course will introduce students to the basic principles of sociological thinking. It will present the historical roots of sociology, basic paradigms and key figures, as well as methodological approaches to sociological research. Particular attention will be paid to founding figures such as Karl Marx, Emile Durkheim, and Max Weber, in whom we will focus not only on the historical context of their intellectual contributions, but also on basic theoretical concepts and the resulting methodological principles and procedures developed from them.
