Course content
1. Explanation of terms - theology as a part of philosophy and theology as a rational reflection of Christian faith 2. Reception of platonism in Judaism and Christianity 3. An influence of Aristotle on Judaism, Christianity and Islam 4. Contribution of Christianity to philosophic themes 5. Fundamentals of Modern Period as an emancipation of culture from Christianity 6. Idea "death of the God" in philosophy and its confrontation in theology 7. Examples of philosophical theology: a) Antique period b) philosophical theology in Modern period c) decline of philosophic theology

Monologic (reading, lecture, briefing), Dialogic (discussion, interview, brainstorming)
Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to introduce the students into correlation issues between philosophy and theology. The subject is focused on Plato's tradition in theology and on confrontation of Christianity and modernism and postmodernism.
The ability of a students to recognize philosophical questions in theology and vice versa and to orientate themselves in questions of the interdisciplinary dialog of philosophy and theology.

Oral examination, Colloquium

An exam based on lectures and other student´s study of chosen topic.
