Course content
1. Nature (PHYSIS) 2. Cosmos and the problem of cosmogony and cosmology (KOSMOS) 3. Soul and living beings (PSYCHÉ, ZÓA) 4. Mattter and theories of the material world (HYLÉ) 5. Movement and change (KINÉSIS) 6. Causality (AITIA) 7. Time (CHRONOS)

Learning outcomes
The subject is focused on standard topics of philosophy of nature which are expounded both from the systematic and historical perspective.
The student will be educated in basic concepts and questions of philosphy of nature. He/she will have good knowledge both on classical topics of natural philosophy and on contemporary theories.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination

1. The student must know essential information about the topic 2. The student is able to show adequate level of independent thinking and competence for philosophical discussion on the topic Final examination will be based on given lectures.
