Seminary reading and exposition of selected Scotus's texts in Czech. Topics (to be selcted from): - concept acquisition, the problem of universals - univocity - formal distinction - individuation - free will, synchronic modalities - knwoeldge of God

Learning outcomes
|
By (1) reading Scotus's text in Czech translation and secondary literature and (2) tutorials the student gets acquainted with the most important features of Scotus's thought.
- The student is capable of independent reading of scholastic texts in Czech. - The student has acquired overall knowledge of Scotu's work and is familiar with the formal structure of his writings. - The student has specific knowledge of selected topics of Scotus's thought.

- Active participation (requirements to be specified at first meeting will include presence, exposition of a portion of the text, summary of the previous meeting). - Written paper/essay.
