Course content

In Winter Term 2021 we will read Franciscus de Meyronnes' treatise "De esse essentiae et existentiae". Copies of the text will be handed out. A vocabulary will be alos handed out, or it can be downloaded here: http://www.skaut.org/ln/vyuka.php.

Learning outcomes

The course develops the student's competence to read and interpret a philolophical text in Latin.
- Basic skill in reading and interpreting easies scholastic texts. - Acquaintance with the formal structure of a typical scholastic text (the form of a quaestio), including typical technical terms. - Familiarity with the technical apparatus of critical editions of scholastic texts.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of basic Latin grammar and vocabulary.

|
Systematic student observation
Regular active attendance at the seminars (min. 75%).
