Course content
Key topics will include: - philosophical and anthropological understanding of spirituality, emphasizing the importance of spirituality for human life, maturation, and overall development - Christian spirituality, its main characteristics, various forms of spiritual life, and stages of spiritual growth - other traditions of spirituality, their comparison, possibilities for mutual enrichment, common and different elements, and the need for open dialogue - mindfulness in the Christian tradition, its benefits and limitations, the distinction between the Christian contemplative concept and secular forms of mindfulness - the development of spiritual competencies, including self-knowledge, reflectivity, working with silence, contemplative practice, and prayer - spiritual competence and its place in education - reflection on the support and transformation of spiritual growth in the different stages of human life (childhood, adolescence, young adulthood, mature adulthood, old age)

Learning outcomes
Students will explore the interdisciplinary connections between pedagogy, philosophy, theology, and spirituality, which together form a comprehensive view of human spiritual development. The starting point will be the Christian tradition, knowledge of which will open up space for dialogue with other spiritualities and contemporary approaches, making it possible to show the broader context of spiritual experience.
Students - will gain interdisciplinary insight into the connections between pedagogy, philosophy, theology, and spirituality, which together form a comprehensive view of human spiritual development - will consider the fundamental aspects of the Christian tradition's view of spiritual experience - will become familiar with the basic characteristics of spiritual competence and consider possibilities for its implementation in education
Prerequisites
The student is not required to take any prerequisite courses.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral examination, Essay, Colloquium, Seminar work

Studying basic literature, writing a seminar paper on a selected topic, and demonstrating knowledge in an oral exam. During the exam, students will present one of the submitted topics for examination, which they will choose themselves. The instructor will assign another of the proposed topics for the presentation to the student. Students may also be partially examined on other topics designated for examination.
