Entry Language Exam (JZKA) is intended for all bachelor programmes in full-time study and it is recommended for the second year of the study. The main aim of the Entry Language Exam (JZKA) is to test the actual language skills of bachelor students and thus eliminate from further language study at the Faculty of Theology those students whose language skills do not reach the Pre-Intermediate level (CEF A2). However, if your language skills are very good, let us say at level B1, you can pass JZKA right away in the first year of your study and immediately in the first winter semester to enroll in the subject ANJ1. It is also possible on the basis of a brilliant score in the JZKA test (over 95%) or after submitting a language certificate FCE, CAE, ... to ask for recognition of the whole block of English subjects (JZKA, ANJ1, ANJ2). In this case, please, contact Mgr. Michal Novotný - Head of the Department of Languages.
JZKA should encourage/make students whose language skills are not sufficient when coming from secondary schools to start self-study or another form of lang. education to acquire sufficient input of minimum Pre-Intermediate level of Enlish, which is the prerequisite for further study in language courses at TF.
