Course content
|
Students will be introduced to the phenomenon of otherness and will learn to perceive it in its social context, they will become familiar with the basic definitions of the concept of intercultural education and in reflection they will become familiar with the assumptions of intercultural education. They will learn about practical experiences, specific perspectives and areas of practice.

Learning outcomes
|
The subject aims at a reflexion of society as a whole from an intercultural point of view. It deals mainly with religious and ethnical subcultures. It reflects aims and means of contemporary intercultural education.
Students reflect contemporary society from an intercultural point of view, they apply gained theoretical knowledge on concrete situations in practice and they are able to provide a group of addressees with an intercultural point of view with help of adequate didactical means.

Prerequisites
|
Active involvement of students in the seminar part of the course is a prerequisite.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Student performance assessment, Colloquium, Test
Active presentation of one didactically compiled activity for work with a group dealing with one problem typical for Czech form of interculturality. Successful passing of the final written test where student will prove an ability to apply theoretical knowledge on concrete life situation.
