Course content
1. Dynamic concept of personality 2. Psychoanalytic theory; analytic theory 3. Individual psychology; interpersonal theory; psychosocial theory 4. Learning theory 5. Trait and factor theory; field theory 6. Systematic eclecticism 7. Phenomenology and existentialism 8. Theory of the self 9. Holistic Theory; Logotherapy 10. Personality as deduction from behaviour 11. Personality as a real entity 12. Personality development from the outside: adaptation/effective behavior. 13. Personality development from within: tendency to self-actualization/adequacy.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide students with an overview of the basic theories of personality and, on this basis, to orient themselves to the foundations and principles of individual approaches in pedagogy and their manifestation in a particular school system. It also touches upon the topic of how school subjects of personality education or personality training are included and their conception. The course consists of a combination of contact teaching, self-study and completion of written assignments. This course also prepares students to debate on the state examination on the topics of determinism and indeterminism or the foundations of quantitative and qualitative educational and psychological research methodology.
The student should be able to formulate their attitude towards theories of personality on a scale from humanistic to socially determining conceptssubsequently, their possible manifestations and implications in education.

Completion of courses in psychology, pedagogy or personality education at a specialisation level Communication skills Ability to navigate the literature Ability to engage in dialogue

Assessment methods and criteria
Written examination, Essay, Colloquium, Seminar work, Self-reflection

Active participation in teaching supported by continuous preparation. Developing your own theoretically informed view of the issues of different types of thinking about personality psychology on a scale from deterministic to inferential views. Completion of an oral presentation with a written thesis defense at the level of the state final examination.
